Belfast Pride 2004
31st July - 7th August
This year's Pride festival kicks off
with a genuine first for the LGBT community of Belfast - an official
civic reception at City Hall, hosted by the Lord Mayor, on Saturday 31st
July. This event is strictly ticket-only, so contact
civiclaunch@hotmail.com if
you'd like to attend. 2004's Pride Guide is bigger and better than ever
and is now available - check the Guide or
www.belfastpride.com for
details of everything that's happening.
QueerSpace's event for 2004 is a real treat - a
magical mystery tour of Queer Belfast. We're hiring a bus and lining up
guest speakers to provide a humorous, warm and informative look at the
history and herstory of the LGBT community in Belfast. There'll be
prizes, goody bags and of course, great craic. All presided over by the
hostess Revvlon.
Tickets are £5 and are
nearly all sold out -
email us for more details. |

Party in the Square |
|
Saturday, 7th August from 1.00

the highlight of the LGBT calendar in Belfast. It’s when everyone takes to
the streets and shows the people of Belfast they’ve nothing to hide. With a
longer route, taking in Great Victoria Street, Dublin Road and Bedford
Street, there's even more time to get into the Party spirit!
This year's Party in the Square promises to be the
best ever with even more live acts, DJs, drag Queens AND Kings!! There'll be
refreshments, face-painters and a bouncy castle to keep the little'uns
entertained. Plus QueerSpace will be sharing an information stall with our
friends from Lesbian Line. You'd be mad to miss it!
