  Belfast Pride 2004

31st July - 7th August

This year's Pride festival kicks off with a genuine first for the LGBT community of Belfast - an official civic reception at City Hall, hosted by the Lord Mayor, on Saturday 31st July. This event is strictly ticket-only, so contact civiclaunch@hotmail.com if you'd like to attend.

2004's Pride Guide is bigger and better than ever and is now available - check the Guide or www.belfastpride.com for details of everything that's happening.

QueerSpace's event for 2004 is a real treat - a magical mystery tour of Queer Belfast. We're hiring a bus and lining up guest speakers to provide a humorous, warm and informative look at the history and herstory of the LGBT community in Belfast. There'll be prizes, goody bags and of course, great craic. All presided over by the hostess Revvlon.

Tickets are £5. Early booking is advised - email us for more details.

QueerSpace organizes and endorses a wide range of Regular Events.  See also the Special Events lined up for this month.

*Indicates events not held by QueerSpace but fully supported by us and advertised by special request. Want your events advertised on the QueerSpace website? E-mail the details to info@queerspace.org.uk.

All events are held at the Cara-Friend Rooms, Cathedral Buildings, 64 Donegall Street, Belfast unless otherwise indicated.

The Pavilion Bar, 296 Ormeau Road

Howl is Belfast's monthly alternative music queer club night and it's been going from strength to strength. Ruth from Howl has the details: HOWL inhabits a universe a million light years from the commercial gay scene. HOWL is a space for queer folk and their friends who get off on a different kind of beat. The music will remain an eclectic mix of indie, rock, funk, hip hop and a bit of whatever, brought to you by people who love the tunes as much as you do. Check out the Howl website or email the organisers for details of upcoming events.
