Out
N About
Out N About,
Northern Ireland's gay walking & hiking group, have been
continuing their 2003 walking season with a very successful
Belfast Pride walk event through Lagan Valley regional park on Sunday 27th
July.
Here's Neil with details
of the group's next event on Sunday 28th
September:
Hello folks
The summer is coming to an end - but we are still going to have another
couple of walks before we quit for 2003.
This month's walk will be the Hare's Gap walk in the Mournes and there will
be another walk in October. That will be the last walk of the year, but we
will probably organise a social event for November.
Anyway - the details of this month's event are as follows:
DATE: Sunday 28th September
MEETING TIME: 10:45
MEETING LOCATION: Kube /Parliament Car park.
WALK ROUTE: Hare's Gap (The Mournes)
DIFFICULTY: Not too bad - although it is more difficult if there has
been a lot of rain.
DURATION: 3 - 3.5 hours
EQUIPMENT: Good walking boots are a must for this one. The route can
be fairly rocky and so you need good support for your ankles. Waterproofs
and warm clothes are also essential. Also bring a packed lunch.
If anyone needs more details - then
let me know and I'll get
back to you ASAP. Looking forward to seeing you on the 28th.
All the Best for Now
Neil
Neil, the organiser of Out N About, is
currently looking for someone willing to help out with the planning,
recce-ing and leadership of new walking events. It would probably involve an
informal planning meeting once every few months, obviously in addition to
assistance at the walks themselves. Interested? Contact Neil at
out_n_about_ni@yahoo.co.uk.
