Sunday, 15th June, 10.45 a.m., outside former
Parliament club
Following on from the very successful walks so far this year, Out N About's
next event takes place on the above date.
Details as follows:
MEETING LOCATION: Outside the former
Parliament Club.
TIME: Leaving car park at 10:45.
STARTING POINT: Slieve Donard car park,
Newcastle
WALK DIFFICULTY: Fairly Strenuous
WALK DISTANCE: 7 - 8 miles.
EQUIPMENT: Walking boots are, as always,
required. Waterproofs would be a great idea. Also bring a packed lunch and
something to drink.
WALK ROUTE: Starting in Slieve Donard car
park, ascending Slieve Donard via the Glenn River Walk, descending via the
Bloody Bridge walk and back into Newcastle.
Neil says, "We went up Donard via the Glenn River
walk last year and everyone who came along made it. This year we decided to
go down via a different route. This does add a little extra distance to the
walk."
If you'd like more details, contact Neil at
out_n_about_ni@yahoo.co.uk.
